World Council of Churches (WCC)

The World Council of Churches (WCC) facilitates and coordinates the contributions by churches of various denominations all around the world to form a Christian response to global issues, such as human trafficking and the availability of clean drinking water for all people around the world.

Because the WCC is comprised of existing churches, it does not have a head office.  It does have an administrative center that assists in the cooperation of efforts among its member churches toward the far-reaching goals that Christians need one another to achieve.  The WCC helps Christians find unity of spirit and purpose through their ministries.

The Church of the Brethren was one of the charter members of World Council of Churches.
