   Hello, my name is Ellen Royal-Ward, and I work for a non-profit organization called NEST. That stands for North East Seattle Together, and we serve as a village in northeast Seattle providing help, support and community events to our members. I’m reaching out today to inquire if your congregation may be interested in volunteering opportunities in our community. If you are like many religious communities who encourage their members to reach out and help where they can, perhaps we can team up together.
   Our members all live in NE Seattle and frequently need rides to various appointments. To serve our members, we rely on the help of volunteers to meet those needs. If your members are looking for ways to volunteer in their community helping their senior neighbors, we would love to hear back from you.
   The process of becoming a NEST volunteer is easy. We can discuss the process further if you want more information, or please feel free to give your members our contact information to contact us directly.

      Thanks for reaching out to us. I always encourage our members to be more active in the community. I will publicize your group and see what interest responds. Many of our members may actually benefit from your services as well.

   Good Afternoon,

   My name is Rachel, and I am part of a non-profit organization called IPERC (www.iperc.org) and we help middle and high school international students study in the United States. I am reaching out to you today because I am currently looking for a host family for an incoming 10th-grade boy who will be attending Dartmoor High School this semester.

   I am contacting you today to see if you would be willing to put an ad in your church bulletin, or if you know of anyone who would be interested in hosting an international student.

      Rachel,

      I will certainly see if there is any interest among our congregants. Unfortunately, many of our members live in retirement communities where hosting would not be an appropriate option. If there is interest, I will certainly get them connected with you.
