Interim Pastor Position

Olympic View Community Church of the Brethren has an opening for an Interim Pastor. The position will be for 6 months with a possible extension if mutually agreed upon. The church is in the process of extending a call for a permanent pastor. The Interim Pastor will serve at Olympic View until a new permanent pastor is available.

Qualifications:

Education: Training in an accredited university or seminary

Experience: Ordained or certificated for pastoral ministry

Responsibilities of Ministry at Olympic View:

• Worship:
  • Planning Services
  • Involving laity from Worship Leader Team
  • Preaching
  • Leading Special Services (Memorials, Weddings, Northaven vespers)
• Pastoral Care:
  • On-call crisis care
  • Anointing for healing
• Administration (not required):
  • Invited to Executive Committee
  • Invited to Board of Administration
• Communication (not required):
  • Newsletter contributor

The position is a 2/3 time position (about 25 to 30 hours per week) and includes salary, housing allowance and benefits per Church of the Brethren guidelines.
