Thanksgiving Baskets
Every year, we provide 70 families with all materials needed for a classic Thanksgiving family meal. The recipients include families of children attending Olympic View Elementary and also the Broadview Family Shelter.
It’s only possible with collective effort! We need donations of money, supplies, freezer space, and dollars. We check out every grocery ad and flyer in the first two weeks in November, and then we start shopping.
For example:
- Frozen pies 2 for $5, limit 8 pies. We need 70 pies. That’s 18 trips to Grocery Outlet!
- Carrots – 25lbs for $12 wholesale
- Turkey – free with $100 purchase
You can really help out by shopping for DEALS – we will tell you what to get and where to go – you buy the items and we’ll refund you the money. Leave a message at the church office (206-585-2300) or contact Harriet Koscho if you would like to participate!
