What does the Lord require of you? To do justice, to love with compassion, and to walk humbly with your God. – Micah 6.8
Jesus called people to live out the greatest commandments, to love God and neighbor. Those who believed in his message became his disciples.
To be a believer is to be a follower.
This always requires reaching out. Sometimes that takes the form of service, of tending directly to the needs of others.
Sometimes, serving others is not enough. In the face of systemic injustice, the neediest in the system need the system to change. As we know, promoting just and lasting change requires the sustained commitment of courageous and visionary groups of individuals.
We are committed as a faith community to seeking opportunities to serve those in need and to advocate for peace and justice in our city, nation, and world.
