thanks Pastor Jeff. I needed this reminder that Jesus really did turn the world upside down. All too often I view difficult circumstances as “God turning my world upside down.”……your message reminded me that sometimes that is exactly what needed to happen…….
You may remember me–Mike Bayley’s wife. You married us over 12 years ago. 🙂 Found your blog after internet searching for you. Wanted to let you know that Mike was baptized January 31st of this year. Our daughter Jolena (turned 7 last month) was being baptized and Mike decided to be baptized with her. I had been praying for that for years. Thought you might be happy to hear about it. We’re still down here in Oregon–if you ever get down to the Portland area, let us know! Hope all is going well for you!
My Brother! I hope you are well. Call me let’s talk. My cell number is 937-789-8984. I want to catch up. Love you man!
Message for Pastor Jeff. Please call me when you can…

Hi Glenn, John Polanski here pastor at Woodworth CoB in northeast Ohio. Just read your reflection on the back cover of this Sunday’s bulletin. I would flatter myself thinking I’ve come half as close as you did in getting right down to the bone on the sticky notion of inclusion. So grateful to you my brother! Looking forward to being in touch in the future. All the best to you in your efforts.
Hello, my name is Ellen Royal-Ward, and I work for a non-profit organization called NEST. That stands for North East Seattle Together, and we serve as a village in northeast Seattle providing help, support and community events to our members. I’m reaching out today to inquire if your congregation may be interested in volunteering opportunities in our community. If you are like many religious communities who encourage their members to reach out and help where they can, perhaps we can team up together.
Our members all live in NE Seattle and frequently need rides to various appointments. To serve our members, we rely on the help of volunteers to meet those needs. If your members are looking for ways to volunteer in their community helping their senior neighbors, we would love to hear back from you.
The process of becoming a NEST volunteer is easy. We can discuss the process further if you want more information, or please feel free to give your members our contact information to contact us directly.
Thank you so much/
Email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Or call us at: 206-525-6378

My name is Rachel, and I am part of a non-profit organization called IPERC (www.iperc.org) and we help middle and high school international students study in the United States. I am reaching out to you today because I am currently looking for a host family for an incoming 10th-grade boy who will be attending Dartmoor High School this semester.
I am contacting you today to see if you would be willing to put an ad in your church bulletin, or if you know of anyone who would be interested in hosting an international student.
If you have any questions, I would love to discuss this with you further. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
Wondering if anyone in your church remembers Lilyan Crider. She was my sixth-grade teacher, and I just found out she died 13 years ago, and her memorial service was at your church.
Do you have small groups during the week or you only have Bible study on Sunday?
Do you have small group for seniors or women?
Thank you for your kind words. I certainly was blessed to be given that scripture to reflect on. Hopefully our paths cross at some point.
Thanks for reaching out to us. I always encourage our members to be more active in the community. I will publicize your group and see what interest responds. Many of our members may actually benefit from your services as well.
I will be educating myself more on your organization and thinking of ways we may be able to assist or utilize your services.
I will certainly see if there is any interest among our congregants. Unfortunately, many of our members live in retirement communities where hosting would not be an appropriate option. If there is interest, I will certainly get them connected with you.
Hello – I am looking for a space to rent to offer a four week series of workshops for young women of our community on Saturday afternoons. At this age, girls desperately need a non-competitive outlet to let go of their stress and anxiety and feel great about themselves.
About the class offering–
We’ll practice basic yoga poses, partner poses and group poses. We’ll journal, meditate, play group games and activities for supporting each other, learn and share about ourselves and create ideas of how we can make the world a better place for all. We’ll focus on positive self-image, self-love, and kindness towards ourselves and others. And of course, being strong inside and out. Class series for ages 8 – 11 years are one hour, fifteen minutes, and includes necessary materials.
I would also like to find a space to offer a series similar to this during school holiday weeks, M-F, 8a-5p
I carry liability insurance as a kids yoga instructor.
i previously attended Olympic View church when my family was growing up in the 60s & 70s. Now that my family is grown and my wife has passed on, I would like to get back to the Lord.
I am a shut-in and using a walker. Would that create a problem?
I’m glad you are seeking to get back to your faith and your faith community.
I would be happy to visit with you and we can discuss how we can reconnect you with Olympic View.
Feel free to email me at email@example.com or you can reach me at the church Tuesdays through Fridays, generally from 10 AM to 2 PM.
I hope to hear from you!
I had called in a few weeks ago related to my research on the architect Paul Hayden Kirk. I am curious if there might be anything in your archives related to the construction of the building.
I’m the daughter of Dewey Rowe, founder of Olympic View, back in the late 40’s. I currently live. At Crista Shores in Silverdale, Wa. My daughter and I are planning on attending Olympic View Church the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Am looking forward to meeting Glen.
It will be great to have you visit us after Thanksgiving. I look forward to meeting you!
Hi, Is your Christmas Eve service a candlelight service?
Are you having a Christmas Day service?
No, we don’t have a service on Christmas Day, unless it’s a year where Christmas lands on a Sunday. We do have a candle-lit Christmas Eve service on December 24 at 4:30, where we end up in a circle of light singing “Silent Night” together.
Responding to Leland Ross’s message from 2018: I remember Lilian Kreider and her husband. There are others at the Church who knew her better than I did. She always dressed very well, looked quite distinguished.
Did you guys have a sign on you billboard when obama was caging children. If you get detained your separated from your children. Maybe the church should stay out of politics.
The church as the body of Christ has an obligation to stand up against injustice and advocate for the “least of these,” regardless of political implications. If you agree with the current policy and situation, and feel that it is just, then this congregation is not a good fit for you. In Christ’s peace, Pastor Glenn

Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly.
I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve
tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
We’re moving Bible study to Zoom due to coronavirus and social distancing. Our Bible study is appealing to seniors, and we are restarting it online after meeting on Sunday mornings for many years.
church. The Seattle Council of Churches gave us their blessing to move to the Northgate area of Seattle because there were very few Protestant churches near there. They were hoping the people of Olympic View would invite Christians of all faiths to see Olympic View as their community church.
My name is Sungho Lee and I am an elder at Christ Covenant Church of Seattle.
We are interested in leasing your beautiful church building for worship. Currently, we are renting a couple rooms from a community center for our worship services and we are looking into moving to a more appropriate space. We are a small church in congregation, but one that prays and strives to share God’s word and His will with others. Please note, we are a legitimate church, officially registered with the state government. A few years ago, we actually visited your space and spoke with Silvia about a lease but there was another church that was already leasing the space. We are wondering if your situation has changed?
I can be reached either through email at firstname.lastname@example.org or through phone at 206 697 9606.

I am part of an AA group that is going to loose our meeting space due to ownership changes. We meet Friday evenings, between 8-9pm, and were wondering if you’d have space we could use. Our group averages 20-30 people a meeting and would be able to provide rent for the space.
We definitely have space and availability on Friday evenings. Please email our church at email@example.com for rates and setting up an appointment to see what we have.
I would like to join your Face Book group and wasn’t successful this morning in finding out how to do that. I have been streaming You Tube sermons for several months and now would like to join the Book Club Zoom Group. I live north of Bellingham.
