All-Church Potlucks

We all love the potlucks.

One Potluck, Many Dishes

Brethren haven’t tended to use the language of sacrament to describe our rituals, but hardly anything we do embodies our vision of Christian fellowship more than our potlucks.

Not that we’re proud, but honestly, our potlucks rock.  It could be the choices.  With foods from Scandinavia, Africa, Asia, Central America, and of course, the more home-grown variety, our dishes reflect the best of who we are.  We even have vegetarians who know how to represent the best of tasty and nutritional cooking.

The hardest part is waiting for the food to be served.  Fortunately, we have potlucks almost every month.  Generally, we are sure to plan potlucks for the following events:

January–King Day/International potluck

February–Valentine’s potluck,

All-Church business meeting potlucks in April and November

Cinco de Mayo (on the Sunday closest to May 5th)

June–Dinner served by Camp Koinonia, followed by a Dessert Auction.

December–Christmas Wassail Bowl followed by caroling at Northaven

Check our upcoming events page for the next one scheduled.  We won’t think less of you if you plan your first visit to Olympic View to coincide with a potluck.
