Camp
Camp plays a unique role for the church by asking us to brush off spiritual stagnation with a walk in the woods. By getting away, we learn to value and develop the silence an open heart requires. We build fellowship by connecting with friends new and old around a fire.
Olympic View Community Church visits Camp Koinonia in Cle Elum, Washington at least twice a year. The name “Koinonia” means communion; visit Camp Koinonia for Summer Camp or Snow Camp.
Camp Myrtlewood, in Myrtlepoint, Oregon, provides our setting for work camps that engage campers in issues of Pacific Northwest Ecology and Conservation; additionally, Camp Myrtlewood hosts the Church of the Brethren’s annual Men’s Retreat.
